On 22 March, a column was published in Daily Dawn by Nadeem Farooq Paracha titled, “Salman Rushdie to write book on Imran Khan” which was undoubtedly a very well managed and humorous piece of writing by a notable writer. It was written in such a sarcastic way that created some confusion among the people here in Pakistan.
In that column the writer mentioned some unacceptable and intolerable views about relationship between Rushdie and Imran Khan, like Imran Khan has relations with Rushdie (the cursed) from his young age, when PTI chief was quite a carefree type of a guy they both met in a dinner at luxurious and ghost-infested castle in London. They discussed freely about different aspects including the art of reverse swing art, so on and so forth.
The column claimed in humor and a sarcastic way that Rushdie is planning to write a book named “Satanic Reverses” about the art of Reverse swing bowling.
The reality is that he is not planning about any such thing and it was just the exaggeration of the conflict that happened few months back over Imran Khan’s withdrawal from the event in which Rushdie was also invited. Rushdie resembles him with late Leader of Libya, Muammar Gaddafi.
