Islamabad: Pakistan’s newly appointed Ambassador and former foreign sectary Salman Bashir who had played vital role in bridging the gap between India and Pakistan Salman Bashir will take on his duty from Today. In the end of June he will also give his documents to the Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh.
Meanwhile, the former ambassador Shahid Malik will be arriving back to the country after full filling his responsibilities and duties. Whereas, Salman Bashir have been given extension in his retirement to serve as Pakistan ambassador to India.
Many sources believe that he is the right choice for this position as he has the confidence of both Civil and Military leadership. It should be noted that he is the brother of former Naval Chief Admiral (R) Noman Bashir.
