Islamabad: Interior Minister Rehman Malik has announced to add five more years to the validation of Passports of Pakistanis, raising it to ten years of validity from the previous five years of validity period, local TV news channel reported Saturday.
According to the reports, the decision has been reported in order to minimize the difficulties faced by the Pakistanis living in the country and outside.
Earlier, fee for new passports was been increased by the Interior Ministry, however, it was freezed to the same as before on the instructions of Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and Rehman Malik ensured that the fee would be charged same as before and no increase will be affected.
