Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has warned public protest if those who plunder the mandate of Karachi will include in the federal government. This was stated by Naib Ameer JI Karachi Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman while addressing the workers at dinner reception at Gulshan Community Center in Shah Faisal Colony.
JI Naib Ameer Karachi said that the people have many questions in their minds over the performance of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), as it had not taken any step over capturing of polling stations by force on May 11. He further said that the people have raised question that why the Supreme Court of Pakistan had dismissed the JI petition over rigging in general elections despite proper evidence. “Why the authorities concern have not yet taken any step against the MQM chief over his anti-Pakistan statement during his address via London”, he questioned.
On the occasion, JI leader demanded fresh polls in Karachi and Hyderabad under the supervision of army. “The people have rejected Awami National Party (ANP), PML-Q, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and MQM in the general elections 2013, due to their anti-people polices”, he added.
Ameer JI District East Osama Razi said that the mandate of the city has been changed, demanding re-polling in the city under the supervision of army. JUP leader Qari Hussain Ahmed, Wali Akbar, Zulfiqar Ali, Chaudhary Ashraf, Faisal Butt and others also spoke on the occasion.
