Karachi. General Secretary of Jamaat-e Islami Karachi, Naseem Siddiqui has said that the holy month of Ramadan was a great blessing for the Muslims to attain piety and look around one’s fault and build the character in the light of the teachings of the Holy Quran. Hence, the Muslims should stay more dedicated to good deeds and should ensure complete respect to human rights as was preached by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He was addressing an Iftar Dinner at Khamosh Colony in Liaquatabad yesterday.
Siddiqui said that the Almighty Allah had said that fasting in the Holy month of Ramadan was an act that solely pertained to His ordain so He would keep the reward reserved for those who would keep fasting. He said that it would be a great folly on behalf of those that would find the holy month of Ramadan but stay away from the blessings of the fasting and other forms of religious mediations.
He said that the spread of evil in the society was unchecked and the Muslims were silent on the situation but one should never forget that the holy month of Ramadan was also a training course for the Muslims to use their might for the prevention and eradication of all the evils then the blessing of the Ramadan in real sense would be attained, he added.
