Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is holding intra elections in the party which is appreciated by many political experts. But this intra party election is going from last few months and has hurt PTI popularity and in the recent surveys PTI popularity has dipped.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan on numerous occasions has said that over 10 million people registered for PTI membership and after verification 70 million were made registered members of PTI. In different talk shows he gave time that party elections will end in this month or that month but that didn’t happen. Now there are reports that elections will be finished within few days and on 23rd March 80,000 elected office bearers of PTI will attend the jalsa at Minar-e-Pakistan, Lahore.
These intra part elections will surely benefit PTI and Imran Khan led party will become stronger. PTI will become intuition after this party election and there will be a system in the party. But the biggest loss which PTI has face is that now people are not inclined towards them like they were after Lahore and Karachi Jalsa in 2011. People were looking for change and PTI became the voice of change but because of internal affairs of party it has lost the support of people. Loss of support means that few months back they had a support of many people from all over Pakistan but now people are looking towards other political parties also.
If PTI in coming days hold some big public gathering and can present a dynamic manifesto for elections that it can regain its popularity which somehow PTI has lost.
