Jamaat-e-Islami senior leader Professor Ghafoor Ahmed passed away in Karachi. He was Naib Ameer (Vice President) of Jamaat-e-Islaami. Proffesor Ghafoor was ill from the last few weeks. Jamaat-e-Islami senior leadership have expressed their sorrow over the death of Professor Ghafoor Ahmed.
Professor Ghafoor was born in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh, India on June 26, 1927. He completed his Masters in commerce from Lucknow University in 1948. He joined Jamaat-e-Islami in 1950.
