KARACHI: Processions in the whole country are being taken out today with regard to Yaum-e-Ali (RA), tight security plan has been planned for processions and rallies, pillion riding is banned in various cities whereas suspension of mobile phone services has also been proposed in some cities.
According to details, processions and rallies have been held today on the observance of Yaum-e-Shahadat (martyrdom day) of Hazrat Ali (Radi,Allah o Ta’ala Anho) in the whole country, central processions are going to their destinations in Karachi, Lahore and Multan whereas a few processions have reached their destinations in some of the cities.
The central procession in Rawalpindi took out from Mohan Pura and went to an end at Imambargah Col Maqbool Hussein at Fawara Chowk. All the ways adjacent to the routes of procession were sealed by putting containers whereas approximately 4,000 police constables were deployed in order to provide security to the procession.
In Peshawar, the central procession took out from Imambargah Syed Alam Shah that reached at its destination ‘Imambargah Akhundabad’ where a gathering was already held. When the gathering finished, the central procession went back to Imambargah Akhundabad. Tight security measures were taken in Peshawar on the observance of Yaum-a-Ali (RA) and heavy police contingents were deployed on the ways through the procession would pass.
In Quetta, the mourning procession will take out from Imambargah Nachari at 9:30 PM today; over 2,000 police constables have been deployed in order to secure the procession. Tight security measures have been taken for the mourning procession in the whole country, pillion riding is banned in few cities, the use of loud speaker is also banned in few cities, and also going with weapon is banned whereas suspension of mobile phone services was also proposed in some cities.
