ISLAMABAD: The leader of Awami National Party and member Senate Mr Zahid Khan has said that Prime Minister should keep political men with him, not ‘’Lotey’’ (spouted jug), adding that the premier has not remembered the Parliament for 14 months, when the water reached up to his head, then he has recalled the parliament.
Zahid Khan said that after 14 months, a joint session was convened; conspiracies were being made against 18th amendments, we were standing with Nawaz Sharif for the survival of democracy and constitution.
According to sources, when the session of National Assembly chaired by the speaker Ayaz Sadiq started, senator Zahid Khan held mike and made a zealous speech. He said that the Prime Minister should keep political men with him not ‘’Lotey’’, the respected premier called joint session of the parliament after 14 months. He criticised that Nawaz Sharif did not remember the parliament before.
Zahid Khan said that although we were not satisfied with 18th amendment, we accepted it but conspiracies were still continued against it. He added that our mandate was stolen, most stolen mandate was in our province but we accepted the results of the election for the sake of the country, even that was not election, but selection.
He criticised that the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa leaving his own province had reached in Islamabad in order to occupy it but he did not remember the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of Waziristan who were taking refuge in his province. He added that Pakhtun mothers and sisters were unveiled under the open sky in the camps but the chief minister did not even ask for them, didn’t he know that the veil of women was the tradition of Pakhtun?
