LAHORE: The Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed has said that People’s Party had asked us to give ‘’safe passage’’ to Musharraf, adding that even Musharraf himself didn’t claim to give safe passage. Pervaiz Rasheed was talking to media persons here in Lahore
The Federal Minister said that we did not give safe passage to the dictator, Pervaiz Musharraf, the courts would resolve the matter of Musharraf, neither did we handcuff Musharraf nor we exiled him but all such deeds were done by the former General.
Pervaiz Rashid called this the difference between democracy and dictatorship, adding that if there was really such an agreement, it was a good chance for Musharraf to avail and present in court. The Minister denied any deal with Arsalan Iftikhar.
He said that electricity was being generated a lot but on the other hand, demand of electricity had increased as well. He further said that many projects would be finished till the completion of three years and load shedding would also be decreased when the projects would be completed. He added that our transmission lines were unable to bear a lot of load and they were tripped due to electricity load.
The Information Minister said that the central ceremony of the 14th August would be held at D-Chauk, adding that the whole nation would read out the national anthem on 14th August in past. He denied saying that the ex-prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani did not say that Nawaz Sharif was taken on board, adding that the ex-premier said or called this to others and Nawaz Sharif was not included in them.
While pointing out at Tahirul Qadri, Pervaiz Rasheed criticised that the revolutionary leader went to Canada leaving their devotees or followers, adding that such revolutionary persons not only faced failure in past but they would also face the failure in future. He further said that criticism on Pakistan forces was equal to favouring the terrorists.
