Lahore: Leaders of different religious and political parties as well as Islamic scholars expressed solidarity with Jamat ud Dawah in “Takbeer Convention” and warned India, USA and Israel against attempting to harm Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal. The speakers advised PM Nawaz Sharif to keep national and public interests in mind before accepting Modi’s invitation to visit India. India is desperately trying to repeat the partition history of East Pakistan by instigating racist and ethnic violence in Pakistan.
Moreover, Geo TV has been extensively used to serve these Indian interests and create confusion between the public and Armed Forces of Pakistan. Narendra Modi and his policies are more of a threat to India rather than for Pakistan.
The convention held at Chauburji Chowk, Lahore was attended by a huge crowd of people. Various speakers including head of JuD Pakistan, Prof. Hafiz Saeed, Liaqat Baloch, Pir Haroon Gilani, Qari Yaqoob Sheikh, Dr. Iqbal Wahla, and others addressed the public. The security arrangements made by Jamat ud Dawah were heavy and praiseworthy.

Prof. Hafiz Saeed said that India has a dark history of oppression that it has done on Kashmiris and Indian Muslims. PM Nawaz Sharif’s visit to India and acceptance of Modi’s invitation will be equivalent to overlooking the blood of thousands of martyrs. If the visit is to be made, Modi must first promise to solve the Kashmir issue sincerely. Musharraf made a huge blunder by becoming USA’s ally. Pakistan is still facing the consequences of that weak decision. It is the duty of the current government to safeguard the honor of Armed Forces and respect the feelings of thousands of mothers of martyrs. He said that freedom of speech is to be exercised only within limits of accountability.

Pakistan’s status of nuclear power was achieved after a tedious journey of determination. Even though our enemies used all forms of threats and obstacles to prevent us, Allah helped us achieve what we worked for. PPP should remember the role of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto in this journey, and so should PML (N) keep in mind its role in accomplishing this mission. Today, Pakistan is an emerging superpower and a fortress of Islam. Kashmir will soon be freed from the oppressive Indian regime.
Liaqat Baloch, of Jamat-e-Islami, said that defending every inch of Pakistan is a religious obligation. The enemies of Pakistan are using covert operations and terrorist activities to destabilize Pakistan instead of open military action. He said that Pakistan should be ruled by Quran and Sunnah and its ideological boundaries should be defended.
The people of Pakistan are ready to sacrifice their lives for their Kashmiri Muslim brethren. The Nawaz Sharif government should keep in mind Manmohan Singh’s refusal of Nawaz Sharif’s invitation and adopt a strong foreign policy against India. Head of Tehreek Aulia-e-Pakistan, Pir Haroon Gilani said that Geo TV’s blasphemy against the household of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) cannot be tolerated by Pakistanis.
Dr. Iqbal Wahla, a member of Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan’s team, congratulated Prof. Hafiz Saeed and encouraged him to carry forward in working for Pakistan’s defense. Qari Yaqoob Sheikh, General Secretary of “Tehreek Hurmat-e-Rasool”, claimed that every child in Pakistan is ready to defend the nation. The atomic power of Pakistan is in fact a nuclear capability of the Muslim World. Similarly, other leaders and spokespersons gave speeches exposing the reality of Modi’s exploitative policies and the evident bright future of Pakistan as a custodian of Muslim lands. They stressed that India should keep in mind that Pakistan is not the same as that of 1971; it is now a nuclear power with a robust and capable army.
