Lahore: Authorities of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has been failed to take liabilities from more than 50 cargo and passenger agents. The company showing generosity forgives the liabilities of local and foreign passenger agents due to the shutdown of company, unavailability or bankruptcy. By doing this the company now has to face a loss of more than 30 crore rupees.
Mohammad Mashhood Tajwar the general manager of Pakistani International Airlines (PIA) has said that due to bankruptcy, unavailability and shutdown of company foreign and local agents are being forgiven to re-pay the liabilities of the company which were worth 30 crore rupees.
According to the monthly credit policy of PIA the liabilities of cargo and passenger agent should have to pay 1.25 percent in a time period of only one month. But more than 50 cargo and passenger agents have not paid the liabilities for several months. Due to this reason the company had forgiven the liabilities of local and foreign agents.
It was also found that another reason behind not demanding the liabilities back from cargo and local and foreign agents what that, if the company will do case on them it will cost more money than the liabilities.
