Karachi: The people of the country have demanded empowered Election Commission (EC), establishment of trustworthy interim government and transparent electoral rolls would be the way of fair and free election. This was stated by Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Syed Munawar Hasan while addressing a huge public gathering near Masjid-ul-Huda in North Karachi. The gathering was organised by JI District West. Munawar Hasan said the elections would be proved revolutionary if the people will confiscate the bails of some hundreds of families.
“Jamaat-e-Islami will not let the elections meaningless to the people of the country”, he added. He further said the deployment of army in upcoming general election would not just for show, but the army should play its role in order to make the elections transparent and free from rigging.
Addressing to the gathering, JI Ameer said legacy politics is being ran in the country, in which some hundreds of families are ruling the country and its people adding holding of transparent elections would prove be the death of such legacy politics. He further added the US army and its allies do not succeed to bow down such small quantity of ‘Mujahideen’ in Afghanistan for last 10 years.
“The people have well aware by the barbaric acts of US and the results of democratic process is an open evidence of this that the people have decided to run their lives according with the teachings of Holy Quran and Sunnah”, Hasan added.
JI Ameer Sindh Dr Mairaj-ul-Huda said that the people have knew the reality of so-called haq parast adding decision of Election Commission over SC verdict, is the voice of Karachiites. He added JI was in contact with all patriotic political and religious parties in order to eliminate terrorism, extortion and target killings from the city.
Ameer JI District Central Farooq Naimatullah, Naib Ameer JI District Central Rashid Naseem and Hafiz Muhammad Idrees, Director Idara-e-Ma’araf-e-Islami, Lahore were also spoken on the occasion.
