Lahore: Four companies have shown interest in launching PPL (Pakistan Premier League) the corporates will be giving a brief presentation to the PCB next week in which it is likely to be officially announced by PCB.
The Board has previously postponed the meeting last month because of the busy schedule of Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Zaka Ashraf. Dubai and Karachi based sports management company group, a company having direct links to the International Broadcasting and sports Management Company will also brief the PCB.
This idea was originally proposed in 2007 by the Former Chairman Naseem Ashraf. The Board has been stating its idea since last 5 year but it is never implemented. Sources of the Board said that they are too much serious of holding this event in the current year in the month of October.
Sources also said that PCB is studying the road map and guideline of the event before launching it officially.
