Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official sources have said that they are making Mirpur Stadium of Azad Kashmir as an international cricket stadium for Pakistan home matches as there is no issues of security there.
The Quaid-e-Azam Stadium of Mirpur has the capacity of about 16,000 peoples. The stadium has also host first class matches in from 2005-2009. It has also hosted the under-19 international matches against Australia.
While PCB director of international cricket Intikhab Alam believes that the Mirpur stadium is a potential venue with good law and order situation. At present, Pakistan has about 25 first-class and four major test venues.
