The second biggest e-games championship, Dota 2 tournament, was won by the team ‘Evil Geniuses’ with the help of a 15 year old Pakistani, Sumail Hassan Syed from Karachi. Sumail rose as a super star of the tournament through his prowess in e-games. Sumail was picked up by the team ‘Evil Geniuses’ for the Defense of the Ancient 2 (Dota 2) Asian Championship in China.
The team ‘Evil Geniuses’ was so impressed by Sumail’s ability that they took a risk of including the young champ in their team, although Sumail had no experience playing professionally. Sumail moved to the United States an year ago, where he made waves in the in-house gaming leagues for North America and was noticed by the team ‘Evil Geniuses’. The EG’s captain stated that they saw the X-Factor in Sumail, who is known with his in-game alias Suma1L.
Sumail lived up to his team’s expectations and was able to help his team pass the third position mark and lift the trophy at the DAC grand final in Shanghai to win dollar 1.2 million. Sumail has gained popularity among his fans and players and has decided to participate in ‘The International 5’ which is the biggest tournament in e-sports with an estimated prize of over 10 million dollars.
