Islamabad: The Saudi Government lifted a ban on Pakistani pilgrims to buy food from the Saudi companies. According to the reports, Saudi companies will provide food to pilgrims for 6 days in the Arafah and Muzdalifah as the money will be charged to the pilgrims earlier. It means the bill should be certainly paid for food firstly and then pilgrims will be available to eat food for 6 days.
Although, Saudi companies have already been making preparations for pilgrims from other countries but Pakistan and a few other poor countries were excused from this scheme. This year the Saudi government has made it compulsory for the pilgrims from all the countries to buy food from the selected companies.
However, the local authorities have asked Saudi Ministry of Religious Affairs to withdraw the ban, as the Minister of Religious Affairs made the request on behalf of Chief Minister Yousuf stated that the Pakistanis are used to eat specific type of food. Means if there are no different spices and squeeze of ginger is not presented then how Pakistanis would like to eat food as Arabians are not used to eat spicy foods.
The application of the Religious Affairs has also taken a stand that this step will also have an extra burden on Pakistani pilgrims and Pakistani pilgrims should not be restricted to buy food from the Saudi companies so far. So that the So that pilgrims during their worship can eat what they want according to their appetite and pocket.
