Karachi: Two awards for Pakistani film “Lamha (Seedlings)” at the New York City International Film
Festival (NYCIFF), which ended early Friday, local newspaper reported.
The film won the Best Feature Film award and Aamina Sheikh, the leading lady of the film bags the Best Actress in Leading Role award in a pre-dawn ceremony at the Angelika Film Centre in New York.
Aamina Sheikh, Mohib Mirza, Mansoor Mujahid and Meher Jaffri were present at the screening of Lamha (Seedlings) at the New York City International Film Festival.
The film was nominated in five other categories, including best Director (Mansoor Mujahid), best Actor in Leading Role (Mohib Mirza), best Score, best Actor in Supporting Role (Gohar Rasheed), best Original Screenplay (Summer Nicks).
