Karachi: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has warned the players to restrict themselves from violating the disciplinary acts, it has been learnt. This announcement came after the spinnerSaeed Ajmal gave serious remarks for the team’s head coach Dav Whatmore in Lahore.
PCB has imposed restriction upon all the centrally contract based players to refrain from giving away the interviews or the statements without prior permission. According to the sources, Pakistan team manager in UAE, former captain Moin Khan has also asked the players to restrict themselves from the media. These orders have been passed to prevent stirring of any other scandal or controversy on the part of the players.
In this connection the acting PCB Chairman, Najam Sethi also said that if the cricketers do not abide by the commandment then they would be dealt with confiscating measures.
In future only the selected individuals by the board or the high officials would attend the media briefings, AwamiWeb Correspondent Reported.
A press conference in the noon however would be held by the captains, Misbah-ul-Haq and Gram Smith before Pakistan and South Africa face each other in the first test match.
