Karachi: After a pull out by Sri Lanka for hosting Pakistan-Austrlia Cricket Series, Pakistan Cricket Board is now seriously considering Malaysia’s Capital Kualalampur as the host venue for five One Day and three Twenty20 International Series against Australia.
According to the details, Pakistan Cricket Board has asked Malaysia for details about the venues and it is said that Malaysia holds the best facilities among all the ICC associate countries. It has two flood light grounds and it is also the headquarters of Asian Cricket Council. The rent in its five star hotels is much economical than hotel’s of UAE or South Africa.
Meanwhile, PCB also considered Zimbabwe as the venue for the series but as the Australia was not ready to play there, PCB had to seek for another venue.
Pertinent to mention here that Malaysia last hosted an international series in 2006, when India, Australia and West Indies played a tri-series in Kuala Lumpur.
