Pakistan Softball team captain Adil Zaman is quite confident for the Asian men’s softball qualifiers to be held in Singapore. The team is comprising of 18 players and 5 officials. There are 5 teams participating in the tournament qualifiers and top 3 will play in the main event to be held in Canada next year. It is a single league qualifier tournament and Pakistan will play its first match against Philippines on December 16.
Beside Pakistan, Indonesia, Japan, Brunei, The Philippines and Singapore will be the other participating nations. Earlier, at the reception ceremony, Mr. Afzal Zaidi, administrator south, said that it is an honor for the nation that Pakistan has been invited to the tournament and it also shows that the game is gaining grounds in the country. Other officials present on the reception included Municipal Commissioner South Mohd Raeesi, SFP secretary Haider Khan Lehri and chief selector Maroof-ul-Hasan.
Pakistan is likely to qualify from the league as the morals are high of the team and the captain was seen in full of aspirations to carve the name of the country in this game too.
