Rawalpindi: Pakistan has successfully tested the Hatf-III Ballistic Missile which can bring nuclear and conventional weapons to a range of 290 kilometers. According to a statement issued by ISPR, Hatf-III missile can hit a target of 290 km easily and it is capable of carrying all sorts of traditional nuclear warheads.
Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Rashid Mehmood, Director General Strategic Division Lt Gen Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Commander Army Strategic Force Command Lieutenant General Obaid Ullah Khan, Mohammad Irfan Burney, Chairman NASSCOM and other senior officials had tested the missile. The successful launch decided the Field Training Exercise of Strategic Missile Group of Army Strategic Forces Command.
The missile can knockout some areas in neighboring India, which also regularly conducts nuclear-capable missile tests and some such missiles can reach any part in Pakistan. The chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee stated his satisfaction over the functioning goals accomplished during the workout and expected that the officers and soldiers delegated with the task of deterring aggression would continue to maintain professional quality.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, President Mamnoon Hussain and Gen Mahmood congratulated and also praised all the scientists and engineers for the effective launch of Ghaznavi Missile, greeting it as another mile stone which has additional strengthened the defense potential of Pakistan besides guaranteeing peace in the region. They have offered tribute to all who were involved in the planning of missile and has conveyed determination that all assets will be used for making unconquerable country’s defense.
