MIRAMSHAH: The operation Zarb-i-Azb is successfully going on in North Waziristan, Pakistani soldiers are advancing to cope with foreign and local terrorists, being associated with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, who are involved in damaging Pakistani soil and killing innocent people including men, women, old and our soldiers. Pakistan Army has dominated North Waziristan within three weeks, killing approximately 400 hundreds terrorists whereas dozens of their hideouts and explosive-making factories have been destroyed since the operation Zarb-i-Azb has started.
On the other hand, nearly 7.5 lakhs tribesmen have been evacuated or migrated to safe areas in view of continuous operation. The operation Zarb-i-Azb was initiated on 15th of June, 2014 against the existence of foreign and local terrorists in North Waziristan whereas dozens of terrorists were already killed in a targeted action before the day when the operation Zarb-i-Azb was launched.
Initially, aerial attacks were taken on specific targets while imposing curfew in the area in which over 350 terrorists were killed. The Pakistan Forces gained great achievements after the migration of tribesmen from the area on 30th June 2014 when Pakistan Army launched ground offensive. Training centres of the terrorists and 2 factories of making bombs were found from where explosive material and over 200 cylinders were recovered which were going to be used against the forces by fixing on roads.
The Pakistan military slowly and carefully advanced to the targets due to landmines and other explosives material which were hidden to target the soldiers. At, last the forces successfully cleared Miramshah and adjacent areas. The forces have dominated or gained the full control of over 40 per cent of North Waziristan so far. For more than 450 terrorists have been killed in this operation whereas approximately 20 Pakistani soldiers have been martyred.
