Pakistan’s former ambassador to the US Husain Haqqani responding to the Supreme Court orders of not leaving the country, has said that there is no palace in Saudi Arabia waiting for him. Hussain Haqqani in a statement said that he did not have any intention for going abroad, adding that he had resigned for fair and transparent investigations.
He said that he himself demanded transparent investigations into the matter, adding that no one could represent his or her country as ambassador in the middle of a media trial and allegations of one person.
The Supreme Court on Thursday said that the former ambassador could not leave the country as it accepted petitions filed in regard to the memogate scandal for hearing.
