Islamabad: Newly selected members of Federal Cabinet took oath at a ceremony organized at the Presidency in Islamabad today at morning which comprises of 28 federal ministers and 18 state ministers.
The comprising 47 members Federal Cabinet of newly elected interim Prime Minister has taken the oath by the President of the country, Mamnoon Hussain. All elected members are the old member of the previous cabinet but with new and reshuffled portfolio.
Khawaja Muhammad Asif, earlier the defense minister in Nawaz Sharif’s government, will serve as new foreign minister; While, Ahsan Iqbal, former minister for planning, will reportedly take charge of the interior ministry in Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s government.
Mr. Saad Rafique, the minister of the railway in previous govern once again will retain his post as minister of railways.
While cabinet of previous government has been comprised 20 Federal Ministers and 10 Ministers of State. While it has been witnessed that the size of this cabinet a little bigger than the previous one.
