NEPRA once again has increased the price of electricity with 3.8 rupees per unit and this price has been increased on the account of monthly fuel adjustment.
According to sources the notification in this regard would issued in the next week; meanwhile the price of electricity increased 1.4 rupees in June and 2.4 rupees in July, while the distribution companies already have recovered these bills from the customers by adjusting their bills.
The government has given authority to NEPRA through NEPRA Amendment Act to decide the prices and change in prices of electricity; earlier the Ministry of Water and Power was authorized to change the prices of electricity.
