LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Co-chairman of Pakistan People’s Party Asif Ali Zardari will meet today in Raiwind. The premier has invited Mr Zardari at lunch and he has accepted his invitation. The Premier himself phoned him for invitation.
According to sources, in order to resolve political crisis, the Prime Minister, in accordance with charter of democracy, will request the ex-president Asif Ali Zardari to cooperate and help resolve the issue. PPP’s spokesman Mr Farhatullah Babar has confirmed that Asif Ali Zardari will meet Nawaz Sharif at lunch accompanying with Khursheed Shah, Aitzaz Ahsan and Raza Rabbani. After the meeting, Zardari will go back to Karachi. It is pertinent to mention here that both the leaders have met each other at important events since the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz government has been established.
On the other hand, many political leaders have said that Nawaz Sharif should not resign. A resolution was passed in a seminar being held in Peshawar by Mir Khalil-ur-Rehman Memorial Society in which it was stated if any unconstitutional step was taken against National and Provincial Assemblies in the country, all the political parties will be united and resist against the step.
All the leaders of political and religious organizations addressed in the seminar. They criticized the sits-in being held in Islamabad against the present government and the parliament. They said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on the one hand was enjoying the governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and on the other hand it was protesting which is elusive.
