Islamabad: The National Data Base Regulatory Authority (NADRA) is taking a step forward by upgrading its system and establishing more and more centers for the processing of the computerized national identify card. The new system vows to be efficient and NADRA has stated that the first CNIC for any Pakistani will be processed free within 60 days instead of 90 days.
Previously the card was issued within 90 days, but now the card will be issued in 60 days. Similarly, the Pakistani citizens can get their CNIC within 20 days instead of 40 days, with a processing fee of Rs 200. Citizens paying Rs 1500 for executive services from NADRA will receive their CNIC within 4 days instead of 7 days. The team at NADRA is planning to convert the CNIC processing centers from small offices to big spaces, which will be accommodated with services such as, washrooms and waiting areas.[junkie-alert style=”white”] Previously the CNIC card was issued within 90 days, but now the card will be issued in 60 days. Earlier the citizens had to bear the agony of waiting under the scorching sun for their CNIC process, but now they can wait under built areas for their turn. The processing days have been shortened which will further provide convenience for the public.
