Islamabad: Member Sindh Assembly Muttahida Qaumi Movement Nadia Gabol became on Wednesday another victim of the action being taken by the Supreme Court against the National and Provincial assembly members holding dual nationality.
While hearing the dual nationality case, the Supreme Court three-judge bench led by Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry pronounced her suspension orders after she ignored three SC notices to appear at the apex courts.
According to court records, she was alleged of having dual citizenship. Hence, she was ineligible of occupying Sindh Assembly seat. She currently held the post of Minister of Human Rights and was elected from PSW-148.
