Karachi’s most dangerous areas for citizens have been identified in the latest report by Citizens Police Liaison Committee (CPLC). They identified 60 places in six district of the city which are hotspots for mobile snatching.
[junkie-alert style=”green”] 41,640 mobiles were stolen or snatched in 2015, while 34,137 were stolen or snatched in 2016. [/junkie-alert]
Though the figures has declined but they are still very high and CPLC had released the report so that police and other law enforcement agencies may curb or control the snatching in these specific areas.
The areas identified in Karachi’s East district are:
- Continental Bakery (Gulshan-e-Iqbal)
- Disco Bakery (Gulshan-e-Iqbal)
- Millennium Mall (Gulistan-e-Johar)
- Aladin Park
- Dolmen Mall
- Baloch Colony Bridge
- Noorani Kabab House intersection
- Ambala Bakery
- Iqra University (Main Campus)
- NIPA
In the central district the following areas were identified:
- Matric Board Office
- Saima Pari Mall
- Hyderi Market
- Sarena Mobile Market
- Meena Bazaar
- Liaquatabad Super Market
- Imtiaz Super Market (Nazimabad)
- Sindhi Hotel
- Ziauddin Hospital
- Dhamthal Sweets (Federal B. Area)
