Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani raised minimum wage to Rs. 8000 on Labour Day whereas Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif raised minimum wage to Rs. 9000. It was good that minimum wage was increased but it would have been better if Prime Minister Gilani and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif would have announce reduction in the daily expense of Prime Minister House and Chief Minister House respectively,
This latest increase in the daily wages looks like apolitical move and both the leaders want to score political points. If they both are serious and want to see poor people prosper in the country than they should reduce their government expenses.
