American multinational technology company Microsoft is ready to launch job portal in Pakistan. According to the officials of Microsoft Pakistan, job portal will be launched in March 2016 and it is a part of corporate social responsibility of the company to make a bridge between the candidates and employment opportunities. In this regards, recently a press conference was held at Microsoft Karachi office, in which General Manager of NEPA (North Africa, East Mediterranean and Pakistan) region Leila Serhan and Country Manager of Microsoft Nadeem Malik were present. Previously, Microsoft Innovation Center Karachi announced 3 months Internship.
Both the senior executives of Microsoft have briefed on the objectives and the impact of social welfare schemes launched by Microsoft Pakistan. The officials of Microsoft have told the media that the employability portal of Microsoft Pakistan is designed especially to facilitate teenagers, teachers, students and entrepreneurs. The main reason behind this initiative is to reduce the gap between job seekers and opportunities available in the market, after making the workforce skillful.
In this regards, Country Manager of Microsoft Pakistan said that the upcoming job portal (www.rozgar.work) will be started with the collaboration of chambers of commerce and both the national and international NGO’s.
