Every day we come across TVC’s and massive billboards of various telecom companies advertising their latest offers but rarely do we see a company endorse humanitarian efforts, solely for the cause of it. Ufone manages to do that this Ramzan, by selecting outstanding role models in Pakistan that exemplify the attitude which it considers part of “It’s all about U”.
This selection of Role Models includes Parveen Saeed of Khana Ghar, Sharmine Aziz of Operation Eid Child and the Wadaan group of Deewar-e-Mehrbani in Peshawar.
Parveen Saeed- Khana Ghar
Setting a great example for the younger generation, Saeed provides the unfortunate with meals under Rs 3. The price is only there to keep the respect of the poor intact. Ufone supports this organisation and you can too.
Operation Eid Child- Sharmine Aziz
For the poor children in Islamabad, Aziz is nothing short of an Angel. She gives the children gift boxes in Eid and during Ramzan filled with things they would want to have. Ufone, this Ramzan through its’ endorsements, encourages every Pakistani to help the Angel of these kids.
Deewar-e-Mehrbani- Wadaan
A group of young boys in Peshawar set up a wall of kindness for people in need. Here, the general public leaves clothes, food, furniture and basically everything and anything that they feel can be of use to the ones collecting them. Setting up walls like these in different parts of Pakistan will strengthen our bond as a nation.
These initiatives don’t happen to be on a large scale yet, these are normally run individually or by a small of group of friends. These people want to make the difference, they want a better and prosperous society for Pakistanis and the chance to help them is a blessing. Huge companies like Ufone have taken the first step and now it’s your turn. It’s our turn.
