Islamabad: Pakistan’s first 3D animated series cartoon is getting positive response among Pakistani public especially children. Aurat Foundation completed this project with the help of USAID. The Launching ceremony of this project was done in December 2012 but it took time in on-airing. Main Aur Mere Dost launching ceremony was held on December 3, 2012 and its first episode was on-aired in January, 2013. This 3D technology cartoon is now on-airing from Geo TV and AAG TV.
The purpose of this series of cartoon is spreading awareness regarding Gender-base violence. US Deputy Chief of Mission Ambassador Richard Hoagland is hoping to get positive results from this animated series.
This cartoon series have been produced by Creative Village Studio, University of Lahore. Yahya Ehsan is director of Main Aur Mere Dost (I and My Friends). There will be seven episodes of this project. Currently Main Aur Mere Dost episodes are not available on internet.
