London: Pakistan’s lone male swimmer Israr Hussain has been disqualified from London Olympics 2012 as he came at last position in his heat of 100M Freestyle swimming event.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Khurram Inam has also been crushed out from Men’s Skeet Shooting in the London games. He could hit only 112 birds out of 125 and stands at Number 30 out of 36 contestants. In his last set, he hit 25 out of 25 birds, making the hit-count 100% but the hard work proved all too late and went in vain.
So, three Pakistan participants namely Anum Banday (Swimming), Khurram Inam (Shooting), Israr Hussain (Swimming) have been disqualified from the respected competitions which leaves only Hockey team, Rabia Ashiq (Women’s 800M race) and Liaqat Ali (Men’s 100M Race) in the medal’s race from Pakistan.
It is to mention here that USA’s Vincent Hancock has created a New Olympics record as he hit 123 birds out of 125 in Men’s Skeet Shooting. He beat his own Olympics Record of 121 hits during Beijing Olympics 2008.
