Karachi: Following severe and swiftly growing anti-American protests in the country Yum! Brands now seek to shutter all of its KFC franchises in Pakistan. The decision has been taken after one of its KFC restaurants was set ablaze in Lebanon last week, the company said Friday.
“We are closing down our KFC restaurants in Pakistan as a precautionary measure,” said Yum! Brands spokesman Christopher Fuller. “However, they will frequently monitor the circumstances to decide when to re-open.”
It is to mentio here that KFC has more than 60 restaurants in 21 Pakistani cities, and it also has a momentous presence across the Muslim world. In 11 Middle Eastern cities, franchises are on ground of a division of the company called KFC Arabia.
Update: KFC last night denied the reports circulating in Pakistani media regarding its closure in Pakistan.

First of all Picture in news was taken from Lebanon not Pakistan.. Im from Karachi, Pakistan where 90% of total damages done on last friday…
Read with calm what i am trying to say…
only 0.01% of protesters were involved in damages of national and international banks, hotels etc…
I Personally observed rallies of over 20,000 people and around 20-35 people among them were involved in these damages. No doubt they were culprits and our pro US government allowed them to do this…
On other hand, our government tried to defame these protesters by creating panic…
Remember that, we (Muslims) dont want fight with anyone but we will not afford blasphemy of any Prophet in the name of Freedom.. We respect all religion and want same from others…
