Islamabad: The government was assailed and put under fire in both the houses of Parliament due to the never ending wave of the violence in the metropolitan city. Inspite of these charges, there was no immediate feedback and response passed by the government to the members of allies and the oppositions. The subject matter of the debate was the wave of Talibanisation emerging in the country.
Some more debating clashes are expected in the National Assembly today in this regard. Waseem Akhtar from Muttaheda Quami Movement (MQM) said that the worst conditions prevailing in Karachi and Hyderabad is due to the Hieght of Talibanisation. He appealed the President Asif Ali Zardari to use his supreme authority overcome this problem.
On the other hand, Senator Shahi Syed from the Upper House said that only five percent of Taliban are indulged in the violence prevailing in the city. Rest of the criminals are not Taliban but others, he added.
Maulana Ataur Rehman from (JUI-F) said that government authorities are responsible for the violence taking place in the city of lights, he was the first to raise the issue in the Parliament.
