LONDON: The Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain has said that Karachi operation is biased, claiming that he can prove in a court that the operation is nothing but biased and against MQM. While addressing to party officials on telephone, he said that some people are trying to change the direction of the operation. He requested the Army Chief to take notice on injustices with MQM.
Altaf Hussain said that the claims were made when the Karachi operation started that the operation would not be against any party, adding that the operation is being carried out against MQM despite the good intentions of Army Chief.
Altaf Hussain said that no raids were carried out on central offices of any other parties after 2013 whereas rangers have twice raided at MQM’s central office, Nine Zero. He said, “It is said that terrorism is being carried out with the money of corruption but why not any corrupt element was arrested in remaining three provinces”.
Altaf Hussain alleged that rangers and police officials wearing plain clothes are involved in forced disappearance of MQM workers, adding that despite these injustices, no party worker took law into his hands.
