Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami decides to launch a movement against target killing in the provincial capital, for which the party has announced to stage city wide protests on Friday (November 16, 2012). The decision was taken in a Central meeting at Idara-e-Noor Haq led by Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Mohammad Hussain Mehanti.
The leaders intended to run a campaign in order to restore peace in the economic hub of the country. They also decided to make contact with the leaders of political and religious groups, religious scholars, lawyers, businessmen and madrassahs.
The meeting was attended by General Secretary Karachi Jamaat-e-Islami Naseem Siddiqui, deputy Chiefs Barjes Ahmed, Dr. Wasay Shakir, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, Nasrullah Khan, Syed Mohammad Iqbal and several other leaders
