Lahore: Jamat-ud-Dawah’s leader, Professor Hafiz M. Saeed has said that JuD will not spare any effort in assisting the tribal people, that have been displaced due to the Waziristan operation. JuD volunteers and relief personnel have been given guidelines as to the project. The tribal people are brave defenders of Pakistan and are filled with patriotic sentiments. Hence, the lives, wealth and honor of the tribes’ people must be guaranteed and preserved. All religious and political parties must unite on a single platform to safeguard Pakistan from foreign intrigues.
The views were expressed at a JuD convention held at Masjid Al-Qadsia, Chauburji, Lahore, in which the organization’s volunteers from all over Pakistan had participated in thousands. The speakers included head of JuD political affairs, Prof. Abdur Rahman Makki, Maulana Saifullah Khalid, Abdur Rahman Abid, Shaikh Abdul Latif, Maulana Nasr Javed, and others.
Prof. Hafiz Saeed highlighted the point that we must play our due role in resisting all schemes aimed at weakening Pakistan. After USA’s immense setback in Afghanistan, its target has shifted to Pakistan, in creating all sorts of discord in the Pakistani society. There is absolutely no justification in harming a Muslim’s life and honor. All disputes between parties and communities must be settled before they are exploited by foreign enemies.

Jamat ud Dawah was in the forefront in aiding the Swat operation victims, by providing them with food and treatment, and will leave no stone unturned in helping the displaced due to this operation, either.
He also said that the foreign intelligence agencies of USA, India, and their allies have penetrated deep inside the social fabric, and their influence needs to be countered with unity. Jamat ud Dawah will continue to bring all parties on one platform that will help revive Pakistan’s ideology.
