Lahore: Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Liaqat Baloch has demanded of the government to immediately announce schedule of general elections as the time for local government elections had passed. Addressing a procession of Shabab-e-Milli NA-126 on Tuesday, he said 9/11 incident in the US had caused promoting terrorism throughout the world. He regretted that even after eleven years of the incident the US had not succeeded to bring round the facts rather it had massacred hundreds of thousands of innocent muslims in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan on the name of War on Terror.
He said 9/11 incident had proved to be a part of Great War Plan of New World Order of the US. He said the US was facing a humiliating defeat in Afghanistan and was trying to make Pakistan escape goat for its vested interests in the region. He said India was putting pressure on the US to cut the wings of Pakistan and put it before India while before leaving Afghanistan. He said the nuclear program of Pakistan was the real target of the anti-Pakistan forces.
He demanded of the government to pull out from so-called war on terror for security and integrity of the country and formulate the foreign policy in accordance with the aspirations of the nation.
He said the provincial and federal governments had failed to solve the problems of the people so the rulers should announce schedule of general elections as soon as possible. He demanded of the rulers to form a care taker set up and hold free and fair general elections rather running after the local government elections.
