Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has claimed that the public congregation of Jamaat-e-Islami at Minar-e-Pakistan on 21, 22 and 23 November will produce a ray of hope for the people during the current prevailing political situation. He expressed these views during a meeting of districts’ Ameers at Idara-e-Noor Haq here on Wednesday.
In the meeting, the arrangements of the public congregations have been reviewed and agreed upon to initiate mass public campaign for ensuring the participation of the people at large numbers. JI Karachi General Secretary Abdul Wahab, Naib Ameers Barjees Ahmed, Osama Razi, Muslim Pervez, Muzaffar Hashmi, Dr Wasay Shakir, deputy secretaries Abdur Rasheed Baig, Sabir Ahmed, Rashid Qureshi, Secretary Information Zahid Askari and others attended the meeting.
In the meeting, it was decided that mass public campaign to be imitated citywide in order to ensure the participation of women, children and elderly men in the public congregation, adding that a committee constituted under the supervision of Sabir Ahmed which ensure the transportation facilities via train and air to those persons who are interested in participating the public gathering.
Speaking at the occasion, Hafiz Naeem said that the people through their contribution towards handing over the hides of sacrificial animals to Al-Khidmat have expressed their confidence on the leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami and vowed that the JI will not let the people of Karachi alone.
He further asked the party workers to start door-to-door campaign for ensuring the participation of the people at large number in the public congregation.
