Students think that asking questions is an indication that the questioner isn’t knowledgeable or he knows nothing but different surveys and studies on intelligent & successful people proves that they ask more questions than an average person.
Fools believe whatever they are told while intelligent people ask right questions to evaluate whether the given knowledge is true or not. During meetings and conferences they raise questions which help in evaluating business strategies and in government such questions can stop or speed the downfall of a nation.
Albert Einstein, William Shakespeare, and Marie Curie worked in different fields, were from different eras but once thing was common among them, they all raised questions.
Not asking questions is an indication that critical thinking has stopped and the person is not using his own intellect to judge matters.
