Karachi: The recent Hamid Mir incident has now led to some serious conspiracy theories against the prime intelligence agency of Pakistan, Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). The Indian media at the attack on anchor Hamid Mir, has thrown a front attack on Pakistan’s security establishment, particularly its premier intelligence agency by pointed a finger at the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and its chief Lt Gen Zaheerul Islam.
Instead of conveying solidarity with Mir, the Indian media emphasized the alleged involvement of the ISI in the attack. As their main point was to defame the Pakistani security establishment and this point is also appears in the printed reports of the print media.
According to News, all main Indian news channels were possibly looking for such an opportunity to insult Pakistan and its premier intelligence agency. Most of all, a Jang Group worker demanded that the DG ISI resign even before the case was listed and the inquiries began. This movement seems to be part of a specific publicity which targets to portray Pakistan as a country where its security agencies are highlighting conspiracies against their own countrymen.
It has been trying to prove in the Indian media reports that the ISI is the main reason on the attack at the Indian Parliament as some elements were involved of the same organization. The Indian media is trying to show via attack on Hamid Mir that the ISI has tried to silent the voice of one of its most vocal critics as he was an outspoken critic of the alleged company’s illegal acts.
