SRINAGAR: At least 16 innocent Kashmiris including a kid were martyred by Indian army in its violent actions during the month of October 2011. Accord to the report of violence of Indian army, more than 37 innocent Kashmiris were critically injured due to the violent actions of Indian army; meanwhile Indian army arrested 29 people during raids and crack downs. The report also said that Indians also dishonor a woman and destroyed a resident house.
Meanwhile police on Monday shifted the incarcerated chief of Dukhtaran-e-Millat Asiya Andrabi to Central Jail, Srinagar, on judicial remand for eight days in connection with an FIR registered in 2008. “The court has already granted bail to Asiya in this FIR,” the publicity secretary of DeM said in a statement. “Since Asiya is suffering from different ailments, her family members are worried about her health,” she added.
On the other hand, the Democratic Political Movement (DPM) has strongly condemned the slapping of another PSA on its senior leader, Shakeel Ahmad Bhat.
“PSA was slapped on Bhat for the 10th time and he was shifted to Kot Balwal Jail, Jammu, from Srinagar Central Jail. He is suffering some disease and needs immediate surgery in his right hand,” said the DPM chairman, Firdous Ahmad Shah in a statement, appealing to the human rights organizations take notice of Bhat’s detention.
