He returned later in 2002-03 against Australia. He enjoyed huge success in the series against South Africa and New Zealand, scoring his first centuries for Pakistan in both ODIs and Tests. He has however been inconsistent in his form and as a result has not been able to cement his place in the Pakistan team, being beaten by other openers like Salman Butt and Yasir Hameed.
Imran Farhat has played 58 ODIs for Pakistan and ahs scored 1719 runs at an average of 30. He has 1 century and 13 half centuries to his name. He has also featured in 40 Tests for his country scoring 2400 runs at an average of 32 with 3 centuries and 14 fifties which have included some vital innings against India and South Africa. He is still active as a domestic player and could make it to the team again if he can put up some good performances, especially given the shortage of good openers in the Pakistan team.
