ISLAMABAD: The government of Pakistan has admitted that implementation on National Action Plan has slowed down due to some issues. A high level meeting headed by the prime Minister Nawaz Sharif held in Islamabad in which the progress of National Action Plan against terrorism and operation Zarb-i-Azb was reviewed. According to the statement issued from the Prime Minister House, the meeting discussed the return and rehabilitation of IDPs whereas regional security affairs including Karachi operation were also discussed.
It is pertinent to mention here that National Action Plan comprising 21 points was imposed by the government after all the political parties unanimously agreed to remove terrorism from the country and it took place soon after the attack on Army Public School Peshawar in last December. The Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Interior Minister Chauhadry Nisar Ali Khan, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Army Chief General Raheel Sharif, DG ISI lieutenant General Rizwan Akhtar attended the meeting.
