Islamabad: Hasan Shah is elected as the vice Chancellor of Pakistan Bar Council. The result of Bar council went in favor of Hasan Shah, he took 13 out of 22 votes and is elected as the next vice chancellor of the Pakistan Bar Council for this year.
Pakistan Bar Council is the elected body of the lawyers in Pakistan. It was established in 1973 under the act of Parliament namely “THE LEGAL PRACTITIONERS & BAR COUNCILS ACT, 1973. The chairman is the Attorney General where as the rest twenty two members are the representative of each province elected from throughout the country. The Vice Chairman is elected every year among the members of the council. The Pakistan Bar Council regulates the entry of lawyers into profession.
The Pakistan Bar Council prepares and controls the rolls of advocates and concludes on any other legal issues of the state.
