Hamza Ali Abbasi has been actively participating on the social media and has been sharing his views with many on the social media network, Facebook. This time it seems, he has gone too far. In a recent post, Hamza went on to state that, ‘I refuse to believe that Allah banned music and art when he himself is the greatest mussavir. If anything is used to spread bad moral values and hatred, its haram and if anything is used to spread good values, peace and love, its halal’
Hamza may have thought that he would have got some support for his unjustified thoughts, but he was sadly mistaken. There has been a storm on the social media, as people retaliate at his comments about music being allowed in Islam. People have gone ahead by posting Quranic verses and Ahadith to give an answer to his statement. Where the hell did Hamza get the idea that music was allowed in Islam.
Hamza’s stance that something that is prohibited in Islam, if used to gain a goof purpose will make that action Halal, is totally ludicrous. People with little or no knowledge about Islam, especially celebrities, should take care in making such statements that has no basis or justification through Quran or Sunnah. It’s the people with influence that have led the general mass astray by spreading such concepts that contradict the very principles of Islam.
