Karachi: Amir Mir, brother of leading Pakistani journalist Hamid Mir has been exposed by outlawed Jamaat-ud-Dawa of his plagiarism and ‘copy paste’ journalism.
Amir Mir, who is The News International Journalist, is alleged of copying pro-government Nazir Naji column (published in Daily Jang on 9/5/12) which he reproduced it as a website story (published in Asia Times Online on 12/5/12) .
Nazir Naji wrote a column about a secret meeting between JuD Chief Hafiz Saeed and former US Ambassador to Pakistan Cameron Munter, which he (Amir Mir) copied and make it publish at Asia Times Online.
Upon breach of copyright and creating fake story, journalist Amir Mir has not only cost himself Rs100million legal notice but also the enmity of Jamaat-ud-Dawa. At the same time, Nazir Naji is also been issued a legal notice of Rs100 million by Hafiz Saeed through his legal counsel advocate A K Dogar.
